Welcome to my own blog

Well, it's time to start my own blog to keep folks updated on news from my rabbitry and such, without having to edit my main website all of the time. Since switching website hosts the work has become much more difficult, and updates are not as easy as they where with the yahoo template. So, news are not updated as quickly as I would like them to get out there.
I will use this blog to update everyone that is interested in reading about daily routines, news, new litters, shows, club stuff etc.
Pictures of adults will still be on my main website, as well as new articles etc, so please do visit my website once in a while to look for those items.

I hope you'll enjoy visiting here, and I'll try to post something once a week to keep it fresh and new :)

News for the spring of 2007 are plenty : I finally renovated my main barn with the help of my friend Lauren Waters, and am enjoying all of the upgrades. We have insulated walls and ceiling now, keeping the heat out and the A/C in. Flushing pans under the cages transport the urine and manure outside in a hurry, clean rabbitry and AIR every morning. much less labor. Happy buns in clean cages, no stink even if the barn is closed up for cooling.
A second Barn, car port type, is housing stacking cages for retired woolers/ show buns that have acclimated to the weather enough to stay happy with a fan in summer. It's located in the deep woods next to my main barn, lots of shade and cooling from the trees. My NZW for meat production are housed there as well, and are adjusting well since they where born in the deep south and their bloodlines survive here in this weather.

My angora herd is pretty much clipped down and bred, I have 6 litters in nest boxes right now, 3 more pregnant does and 6 more breeding's planned.
My BIS winner AA's Kate ( her second BIS at the same location, same club, 1 year apart ) had a nice litter of 4 babies 3 weeks ago, 2 REW and 2 black. Bred to my black buck AA's Gideon. Some will be for sale
My Grand Champion REW Doe Spang's Denise ( goes back to my own lines ) had her first litter at age 2 and she gave me two very precious babies, the biggest babies and fastest developing babies I have ever seen in my rabbitry. She gave me one blue and one chocolate, most likely BOTH will stay here to watch their development and be shown.
My red French Doe AA's Cinnamon gave me a very nice looking litter of 6 babies, 1 REW and 5 Reds. These babies have a purebred pedigree and can be shown and registered with ARBA. They are 2 weeks old now and if anyone is looking for true RED FA's, let me know.
My black FA Doe AA's Meghann had her first litter this morning, 4 healthy and fat babies, 3 black and one blue. Sire is AA's Gideon.
Grand Champion AA's Fantasia is due tomorrow, bred to Gideon as well we should have more solid colors in the nestbox.
Grand Champion AA's Q-tip is bred (sable pearl), Grand Champion AA's Calypso ( himi) is expecting her first litter from AA's Joshua ( himi) , both came out of my Grand Champion himi doe SH Halo. AA's Monique, my Giant Angora girl is bred, for a Giant Angora litter.

Let me know if interested in any of the current litters, many babies will be for sale into show or spinner homes due to lacking cage space to keep them all :(

Pictures of the babies growing up will be posted here as well as on my website :)

Angie :)
